These Stamps Are Something to Wag At

Photographer Sally Anderson-Bruce found these beautiful, adopted pets in her hometown of New Milford, Connecticut. Each of these animals was given a good home thanks to animal rescue shelters and the families who adopted them.

These are the 44-cent Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet special stamps, available as a Block of 10 stamps or a Pane of 20 stamps.

On April 30, 2010, in North Hollywood, California, the Postal Service^TM will issue a 44-cent, Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet special stamp in ten designs, designed by Derry Noyes of Washington, DC.

With these 10 stamp designs, the U.S. Postal Service hopes to raise awareness of the need to adopt shelter pets.

The pets depicted on the stamps were photographed by Sally Andersen-Bruce near her home in New Milford, Connecticut. All had been homeless at one time; all but one had been adopted when they were photographed.

I went in looking for a couple things for the riding lawn mower this weekend. The collection of things in the store is unique and good selection it is a nice addition to the store selection here in Crestview I hope and think that this store will do well the location is on Highway 90, the clerk was very freindly there too which alot of times with stores can make or break new ones in an area.

The pace of battle is picking up!

Next Wednesday, April 14, I will be testifying before the U.S. House of Representatives Ways & Means Committee on the need for Congress to pass the NAT GAS Act (H.R. 1835). 

One thing I'm going to tell them is how I've got 1.6 million Americans sitting with me at the witness table-and they want an energy plan to get our country off OPEC oil, create new American jobs and keep the billions of dollars we send overseas working for our economy.

We've got the message - jobs, energy, economy, and national security. 

We've got the vehicle -the NAT GAS Act. 

Now we need Congress to act - and that's exactly what we're asking them to do.
