Northwest Florida Realtor: My banner on Realtor.com update

My banner on Realtor.com update

I have been contacted asking how my feelings were on the adveristment I had ran and the responses received and other Realtors have seen my old post listed below.

I had the below post a year ago. I had given them a year to show me what they can do. I have to say I was not impressed with the AD response.

I think anyone would be better off doing a pay per click with Google and know you are getting traffic and someone looking at the AD you are paying for. There are so many AD's on the site now on Realtor.com I think the banners just get lost now a day.

My Realtor.com Banner AD update

Sad to hear that your ad did not give you a great return, but it is good that you tracked it and know to cut it out if it is ineffective.  Now is not the time to waste ad dollars.

We did an ad campaign like that and it crashed and burned.

THanks for the feeback. It's nice to hear what's working and what's not, especially as advertising is usually a large investment. Good luck with your next campaign!

I did not renew with them this past year as I found the enhanced listings did nothing for me.  It was a good way to show potential clients my marketing however it did not nothing to drive sales.

I had the same experience with Realtor.com - Waste of money!

You will get more business blogging on AR than paying for adspace on Realtor.com!

Have not talked to anyone who has good success with that medium  -- we left them years ago.

Robert that is very true thank you for stopping by and checking out this post.

Philip- I am sorry to hear your ad did not work out as well. I know the numbers that Realtor.com says they have and anyone would think well you are bound to get just 1 % conversion off of those who visit the site and see your banner but that is not always the case.

Michael-Thank you for the comment, I know I Check ActiveRain feedback from fellow Realtors when looking at any new ad that I might be placing.

Melanie thanks for the comment, I did the same thing thought it would be good to show possible sellers and hoped doing a full year would catch something in return for one of the sellers I was working with but cant say one sale resulted. I was told by Realtor.com they added a lot of new outlets since I ran the last ad campaign a couple years ago and they were bringing a lot but if it does not result in a solds then its not for me.

Ryan- Thanks for stopping by and checking out this post. I have to agree that I have had more results from Active Rain being leads than Realtor.com
