I held a auction.com required open house this weekend. I have to say I am suprised by the foot traffic through this very rural home. I had placed signs out a week ago on the main strip highway 85. I didnt know what to expect in the past with auction company open houses you might get one or two people all day. I was in the home for 5 hours and have over 15 visitors looking at the home. I was suprised by this as this was a late edition to Auction.com line up of properties for sale and was not included in the book and really not advertised other than the signs I placed out. This was on the market really just over a month before going to auction and had less than a week to promote for the first open house last week.

Brandon - Congrats on your open house traffic. Honestly, it sounds like your brilliant idea of placing signs a week prior to the open house has more to do with your traffic than Auction.com. They are lucky to have you on their site!
I am lucky that our sign people are not very strict with the county in our area to allow signs to be left out for some time to be able to accomplish this. I had hope people would drive to the home and find the open house dates and it did seem to do the trick. Thank you for the positive comment and checking out this post.
Brandon - I thought I'd come back by to see your response. Yeah, I was wondering if your area allows signs to be up for a while. In our area they don't allow it!
