Haines died this past Tuesday, May 24th. He was a known as the senior anchor on CNBC for 22 years; Mark was called by many reports this week a "building block" of the financial network's programming "Squawk on the Street" program. Haines was so respected that this week on the stock trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange held a moment of silence in his honor.
Mark had good insight and ahead of the game on many key topics one was the housing crisis and much was made of his taking to task Barney Frank which he in the end was right to do.

Brandon - I will miss Mr. Haines' tenacity and willingness to fight for what he believed was correct. I thought that he was a pretty thick skinned individual until he said his goodbye to Erin Burnett a couple of weeks ago. That segemnt provided a little insight into what a warm caring individual he truly was. RIP Mark, you will be missed.
